Hi there everyone,

i am currently learning .net and would like to get MCAD or MCP certification. Could someone please tell me which one would be a better choice. I went to msdn looking for different options and it did seem helpful but it didn't mention anything about the fees and how the test would be conducted.

Could someone please direct me or advise on the same?

Thanks

Hi Adev111 -

There are a couple of things you should probably research before you just "jump in" to getting certifications. Look at each one you're considering carefully, the requirements, and then choose.

By passing one of the required exams for the MCAD, you'll obtain the MCP certification. But by passing two more exams in addition to the MCAD, you'll receive the MCSD certification.

Remember that these are just pieces of paper, and you need to have some solid experience to accompany them, or else you're probably looking at a pretty tough road ahead.

That being said, good luck.

Greetings,
I happen to be interested in the MCAD also. After reading MCSnappyD's note, I was wondering, how much experience is needed in terms of time before I should consider taking the exam?
Thanks. . .
