Recently upgraded CS1000M to 6.0.18 Trying to install a Media Card. Attempting to boot card and enter jkl to clear and reset the leader bit. Card displays G009 and I am unable to even get a login prompt.

If it's the 32 port Media card, then you might have problems. What I did on a CS1000 5.5 system was to copy the files from the CF card onto a folder on my Laptop, then to delete all of the files.

I then got hold of the SMC 32 Media card 5.0 software and renamed the file to just EXEC and copied it onto the CF Card.

When the card rebooted, it was seen by the Element Manager and CS 1000 and I could then upgrade it to the Version 5.5.

I hope this helps?.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Just a possibility was upgrading a card and when card was disabled the card would not boot up. After booting up I disabled card to perform firmware and application . . . Just a thought.

Had the same problem. The biggest issue was getting the 6.00.18 software which is not on the ESPL library or anywhere on the website that I could find so once I got that I put on a PCMCIA card and restarted and entered JKL and all was good. Hope this ia helpful.
