Has anyone ever used MBG to proxy SIP trunks to a Lync server? I have been asked if this is possible by a customer as they currently have a MBG server for Teleworkers and they are looking to replace the current SBC for the Lync server and wondered if they could use the MBG server instead (Once licensed for SIP trunks).

The Mitel 3300 can connect directly to Microsoft Lync using only SIP trunks. No MBG needed. There is a SIP CoE document on MOL on how to configure this.

@SXWizard Apologies don't think I explained it that well. We already have SIP connectivity between Mitel & Lync what I have been asked is if it is possible for MBG to act as the SBC for Lync as they already have MBG in place for Teleworkers.

So SIP Trunk provider to MBG then MBG to Lync
