What is the maximum number of VG224s that I can install on a CUCM version 7.1?

Thanks in advance.

There is no limit as long as you don't go over the supported number of devices that are registered per server.

Thanks whykap. I found out that little bit of information after posting here. Do you know where I can find the supported number of devices per server. I asked my Cisco SE and told me I'm fine in this case but he didn't know where the documentation was to send me. I think he's checking and going to get back to me.

Thanks again!

It's probably in the SRND guide. How many VGs are you installing and what model servers do you have and how many of them?

My sales is proposing a single 7835. This an add-on to an existing Nortel CS1000 and we will eventually migrate everything over to the CUCM (more servers added later of course). We are planning to serve approximately 900 analog sets between two servers at two different locations.

that's about 37 vg224.
I have installed 27 vg224 on a single call manager cluster in additon to 2000 ip phones distributed along 2 subscriber servers. So 37 will be fine. However that all depends on what other devices are going to be registered on the servers as well.

IT also depends on the architecture of the deployment. Whether it is a distributed, single or multisite deployment.
Unless you are doing something extraordinary you are going to be fine.

If your CS1000 can handle it so can call manager.
