A question has been thrown at me whether Oracle7 Server for Windows NT (enterprise edition) could support users exceeding 400 concurrently - straight from the box without doing some configuration or obtaining some kind of license key to make it work. I know it does, but I am not sure right now. The guy who asked me said he was informed that Oracle has limitation in supporting a number of users exceeding 400. Could this be true. Is there anything or situation that could make this happen.
Could somebody out there help me.
Thanks in advance.
I know of no limit to the number of users on NT except the power ofthe box to support it and the amount of memory you have. With that many users you would probably want to take alook at the Multi-Threaded Server (MTS).

There are parameters that the DBA controls at the database level(in the init<SID>.ora) that can also limit processes and sessions.
