Does anyone know or have a reference from Microsoft regarding the maximum number of printers one can have on a Windows 2000 Server?

I looked online and found all kinds of answers. I can't seem to get the right search phrase on Microsoft.com to find the answer. Any help would be appreciated.

Thought this was an interesting question so I asked around, one friend who works at M$ support basically said this: There is no set limit on the number of printers you can have setup on windows 2000 server (or 2kpro, xp, 2003). You would have problems at some point filling up the registry. And of course you would need to add more ram, faster NIC(s), faster processor(s), hard drive space etc as you added more printers. Also, you would be able to add more of the same type of printer then different types. IE 200 of the same model printer uses less resources then 50 that are all different types. And of course the faster a printer is and the more often it's used will limit the servers abilty to keep up processing print jobs.

I've got about 35 printers shared off of one file server that also has about 250 users file shares on it. It's a dual p3 1GHZ, 2 Gig RAM, Gigabit NIC and it runs fine.
