We have a customer that has the need for about 1300 account codes. We know the IPO (4.1 R 12) allows up to 2000 entries, but we are being told there is problems if you input over 1000 entries, but no one can be specific as to what kind of problems may arise. Has anyone encountered this or can any one shed light on what kind of issues to expect? Thanks for your help.

Never tried :)
Why would you need 1300 accound codes anyway ?

I remember having some serious issues with having a huge number of account codes. It was a while back, and the issues seemed to be the kind that seem to have no explaination, as well as intermittant. They were some system wide issues I think reboots, locking up, and other minor issues. The size of the CFG becomes very big, so you may want to restrict it size in other ways like using VMPRO not time profiles, etc.

I would get Avaya involved up front to make sure they will support it, and get Avaya maint on it, so it is their headache.

Use wildcards, its allowed (? for a single digit and * for any).

[If you want to really annoy people, * used to work in the DND Exceptions list as a way to stop people using DND]
