Hi All,
customer receiving incoming calls from 2000 different customers so i would like to route these calls to a different HG based on caller id.
What is the max number of incoming call route?
do you think it might work?
It is R9 Essential Edition. I would like to avoid using VM Pro
Thanks

If callers are from a business in the US that is using analog lines, the caller's phone system may use one of any number of lines for the call. Hence, each customer may have multiple potential Caller IDs, compounding your challenge. It would be MUCH easier if you could instead have callers dial different numbers and use DID.

2.000 ICR entries is a lot to configure and maintain...the limit is determined by config size, so in theory you can do 68.250 ICR's on a V2 chassis.

That said, 700+ ICR's will slow down the processing of the call routing.
If some of the numbers come from the same company/number range, you can make a single ICR matching on parts of that CLI number range.

What happens to those who calls from their mobile? or as mforrence describes...
This will probably work for a week, then you get tired of changing the routes:)

Kind regards

Gunnar

Unfortunately all these callers using the same specific number to reach the system. Its is an ISDN BRI line.
Customer do not want to add/change this one number so the only option is to filter incoming calls using CLI Routing in order to seperate them to 4-5 incoming destinations probably HG and Voicemail ports based on their CLIs

What if we move to R9 VM Pro?
Do we also need Advanced Edition and DB Call flows?

if you are tying to seperate customers by region then CLI processing in the IPO might be an option by using the area code only (IPO Matches left to right :) )

otherwise VM Pro & DB integration is the best option otherwise the VM Pro call flow would be un-maintainable

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
