With a greeting message it appears the maximum is 60 seconds. Where is this controlled, and can it ben lengthened?

Wow, this seems like a fairly simple question. Is there really no clue on this one?

On the MAS in Voice Mail System Configuration program, Telephone User Interface section, Message Timing tab, "Maximum Mailbox Prompt Length in Seconds". Range is 1 to 999 seconds.

Thanks for the reply texeric. so you're saying, they will not have to be re-recorded, they are just restricted to their 'current' max time value while any new announcements max time value will be the new setting?

I believe your statement is correct. But I can't say for sure.

The system might invalidate any recording that is longer than the assigned limit. For example - you can test this pretty easily by changing the limit to 200 then recording a greeting that is around 190 seconds (make it active for calls). Then change the limit down to 150 and see if the system still plays the greeting to callers. If it does, then see what the system does when you log into that mailbox - Does it force you to change the greeting?
