What is the max number of analog trunks supported on the 406v2? I see that it will handle 2 4port cards in the unit and 6 16port expansion modules. This would give a total on 104 analog trunks. Is this correct?
On a 406, the maximum VCMs is 30 ports, so even if you had 100-some analog trunks, the SCN TIE to the other PBX would only allow 30 calls to pass at any given time. Also, since you can't currently have phones on a remote switch in a hunt group, the hunt groups would need to reside on the remote system and the calls MUST extend to the remote switch prior to being answered, thus needing a potential for 108 VCM ports, yet only 30. Now 4.0 will change that, but also I think the IP phone is a beter route to go.
Actually, a few PRIs is probably a better route to go. Oh, and a 412.
