Am I right in assuming that a MATX motherboard will fit a ATX case?

What brand/model is the case?

As long as the ATX case is tooled for the MATX mobo...if it is an old case, it may not be tooled for the smaller board...in other words, the MATX board will definately fit inside the ATX case, you just might not have the right screw hole alignment to secure it! If your case has a plethera of holes spaced at places your ATX mobo would never use, chances are the MATX board will fit okay.

Everything in its right place...

The case is a JNC 4JA 8850 Nokia Style Grey ATX Midi and is brand new from ebuyer.co.uk and the mobo is a MSI KM2M Combo-L SKT A KM266 MATX

So I guess it will be OK!
