Is it possible to take some numbers from attachmate screen and do math with them?

i just found that Format in the help files.

this should place the data in the correct spot

       DiffMyArea = CDbl(MySum1) - CDbl(75#)
        [blue]MyLen = Len(format(DiffMyArea,"fixed"))[/blue]
        
            
    Set MyArea = MyScreen.Area(17,17,17,22,,3)
        MyScreen.PutString "      ", 6, 17
            [blue]If MyLen = 6 then
                MyScreen.PutString format(DiffMyArea,"fixed"), 6,  17
                    Else
                MyScreen.PutString format(DiffMyArea,"fixed"), 6,  18
            End If [/blue]
