Materials palette colors changing 1

Hi. I'm using PSPX. I have a frustrating thing happening and no one has been able to tell my why.

When I set front and background colors, then click on a paint tool, brush, etc..the colors immediately switch back to a previous color, gradient, etc. I thought I'd just live with but it really is a pain to begin a project and have to set color prefs twice. (on second set it stays... till next time and we start all over)

Anyone else running into this? I didn't encounter this in 8 or 9 versions.

I'd appreciate hearing of some simple thing I'm doing wrong. Rainee

Check the "All tools" option (under the color boxes) and the colors should stop switching.

No, that's not it. My "all tools" is checked.

I did a search for this problem, and found others have had it too. The common suggestion was to select your paint tool or brush first, and then your materials. I'll have to remember to do that, I guess.
