Hi guys,

I hope someone here has an idea how to do this, otherwise I'll have to reconfig the whole system :/
We've got an IP Office 500 v2 with 1416 digital phones and 1616 voip ones. For dialing out, you have to call 0 + desired number.
Means, if you want to dial 01234 / 12345678-5 you had to type 001234...
Back when we started with the new ip office, we just made sure it worked somehow, so we configured the system to extend the incoming calls with a additional 0 and match all the numbers in the directory with the add. 0, so you can call out from contacts and they get recognized.

Now we get a new ERP System that allows us to use TAPI to dial in/out, recog. incoming calls etc.. But that system can't cut the first number (our additional 0) out.
Leaves me with not many options ...

1. Add to every number in our ERP a additinal 0 > Bad ....
2. Reconfig the system to work without any additional numbers > Bad (would be ok to work with, but needs some time to config...)
3. Use the "optional numbers" feature for the directory

Number 3 I tried, but it dosn't work like described. Calling with the contacts works, but incoming calls are not recognized (tried "(0)01234..." and "0(012345123...)"

Did I forget some option maybe for number 3? Any other ideas and suggestions? What would be the "Best-Practice"? Sadly I already have more exp with the system then our vendor ...

Thanks for any input :)

Normally when using tapi via a PC you need to configure phone modem settings.
Set your location and enter your access code for calling local, internal calls.

The tapi looks to this for dialing out

The problem is not the outgoing call - that works and the location settings are made and/or the programm can also give the additional number.
The phones itself (1416/1616) can't match the caller if I disable the incoming, additional zero from the ip office (added under line config, 00 instead of 0...), because the software can't cut the first number.

I would go for option 2, since that extra 0 has no function at all (IPO never needed that anyways, people were just used to it from the time PBXs were still made out of wood and required an extra code to even hit the external circuit).

Yes it takes some time, although reprogramming the IPO is the least of your work (the 0 should be I'm system short codes or in ARS, directory can be exported and imported), but in the long run your live will be easier on all counts.

IMHO :)
