I've "inherited" the phone system at my company. We're still on MAT 6.6.

The person before me didn't keep good records or even manuals. We've had to "hire" them back to do some work on the system but we're getting tired of that and want to learn the commands in MAT System Terminal so that we can COPY and CREATE new DNs/TNs.

Is there anyone that can help?

What prompted this is that an admin's phone died (somehow got erased from the system) and now I need to add a new 3904 on the old TN/DN but I don't know how to add the AddOn device that lets this admin know which manager is on his/her phone at that moment. It almost looks like an extended AutoDial pad. But I can't add that seperately in the system. I've tried to copy another admin's phone but that won't let me. Gives me a SCH error.

Sorry for the long post!

Steve

If I remember correctly, there is a check box for add-ons when you actually create the set - it doesn't get added seperately

<Do I need A Signature or will an X do?>

the sch may be because the copy from set has bfs keys, the prompt aom 1 will add the add on module, if your using bfs keys the command is key x bfs 20 0 0 0, with the tn of the monitored set.. if your using a different key set up use the same type of keys and key numbers.. bfs keys can be a pain, due to having to modify sets before and after a copy, i would use mat, or otm if you can get around it.

AOM 1? Great, thanks.

Now, can you advise me where to use AOM 1? Like, if you were about to add a module to a TN. The TN and DN I'm using are DN 185 and TN 019 0 00 04.

I don't know what LD to use AOM or even the correct syntax!

So new... sorry!

Steve

all command are from load 20, the same command will add keys at the ITEM prompt just type key 21 scn 4940, for a non ringing line, or any key that you are trying to add, the best bet is to prt the dn/tn of a set and then put the same type of keys on it

Keys 32 thru 53 would be the AOM I suppose, but they can't be added for some reason.

Thanks!

Steve

very strange, i used the prompts on my 2616 before i posted them and never had a problem, did you look up sch3301? i think that is not recognized commmand, but my merls are at work.. i'm not at work until monday so if your post is still open, i'll test on my 3904 to see if i need a cls mark, i've added aom's to the 3900 series but don't remember if it was 3904, if you have a 3904 with a aom, post it

The AOM is only for add on modules working with 2616 & 2216 phones. On the 390x series you have to use DBA or KBA depending of what type of module you have. Display based or key based module.

i2007

DBA 1 did it. I now have the AddOn displaying and I've already added the BFS' to it.

Thanks to the both of you for taking time to help me!

Steve

DBA .. used it before but did a mind freeze on that one, glad you found the right info
