All, I'm new to NEC but my team has years of experience. They run a report daily using MAT. It really bugs me because they could be doing more critical stuff than just clicking out reports. While looking at MAT I found in bin that many of the MAT features are individual executables. When I click the executable it gives me a usage syntax error. Does anyone know if these can be run independantly with switches in the commandline. For example

c:\MAT??\bin\dtfd3.exe -traffic -toweripx -dtfd03

?? If that can be done then the reports can be run with out human intervention. Not sure why we cant use some of the studio tools..

please advise.

Update -

I was able to luanch using command line with options..

c:\IMXMAT\Bin\dtfd3.exe traffic dtfd 2 TowerTCPIP

but that was worthless... It errors out even if I have already started MAT and connected.

What is it you really want?

Because it seems if you want to automat some reports this may be able to be done with a telnet session and some DB collector with some crystal reports thrown in.

Now me being a phone guy I dont know how this is done. But if you get that done let me take some credit for you.

Matworx is nothing more than a tool, If you want a reporting program you may need to contact NEC on that. I hear that MA4000 is coming for the IPS next year.
