Master server backup

Hi,

I have NetBackup 6. Can I backup master server itself?
There isnt any chance for client to select it as local machine, only network choices. But when I want to backup
local master server, then why I must do this through network
interface. I give policy check error that advanced client
cant use snapshot provider. Probably because server cant communicate with client in the same machine.
Please help!

NetBackup treats all clients the same no matter how mighty they be or were they are. All conections are via the network to ensure that authentication is completed. However when the backup runs the data will not be routed via the network.
