Master Detail report

Is a Subreport the only way to have a Master Detail report?
If so how can the Subreport display the value without being clicked on it,as it will take it to the original subreport,i just want the subreport to display the details and the master values will be in the main report,i will place the subreport in the Details b section by adding a new section..

What do you mean by Master Detail report. There are det6ail sections in both the Main and Sub reports. Not even sure why you needing a subreport. A description of that you are reporting would be helpful.

Also identify the Crystal version, database, operating system and connection used.

Master detail mean,i am trying to simulate the Report like a Oracle Developer 2000 type Report,hope you know what i am talking here.Thats the best example ic an give

lets say detail section a i have a few columns like Name Id etc
and in Detail section B i need the details like Order Numbers or Order Items etc which may be many for one Name or one Id

So its a one to many relationship.

Detail section A is from a different query
B is from diff query

to be joined by one common field from 2 queries..

As long as you don't check "on-demand" the subreport will display its contents when you run the report.

No i didnt click Ondemand,but it still doesnt display the Data,i had to click the subreport to view the data,please let me know what i am doing wrong here..

I found the problem,i didnt check SUppress Blank Records in the detail 2 section which is where the subreport is..now its working
