When i check the properties for the usb device it
tells me the driver isn't installed code28
but normally a mass storage device doesn't need
a driver installation for win 2000?
The same problem occurse with my olympus c-300 camera!

can anybody help me?

more than likely one of the usb controllers has wrong driver or isnt installed properly. maybe see if your system has "chipset" drivers available from the manufacturer and install them. or, in device manager, remove any usb controllers and allow windows to redetect/reinstall them

At the risk of sounding stupid, butr how do I do this?
Do I just rightklick the usb device in the device manager
and choose uninstall. When I 've done this for all the usb devices I just reboot the pc or do I do something else?
Is this correct, I don't want to have to reinstall the complete computer...

I've reinstalled the usb devices and they work fine
(that's what is said in the device manager)
when I enter the usb stick I get the following message

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

the usb stick is a apacer HT202

Any help?
