Hi,

I have to achieve a mass deployment of Nice Screen Agent for my enterprise. For our first test, we have manually set it up,
but now we have to install it on thousands of machines (Windows XP Pro). It's certainly possible, but how ? setup.exe flags on CLI and .bat or gpo and msi package?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have found that there is a agent.cfg file to write default values to perform a silent installation, but I don't know to start this kind of installation...

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to push the package via gpo and use a transform file for the settings. Don't ask me the specifics as I haven't done this on NICE before but it works for verint fine.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Packaging the screen agent is a real **** and if done incorrectly the first time will really cause you massive problems, make sure you fully test it. Do not use a snapshot image but use the dos setup command below.

Assuming you are using windows login as your agent identifier use Registration Method: By Unique Agent Username

run Setup.exe -UNIQUE_AGENT_USERNAME option.

Once installed change the following registry values if required:

NOTE: Default settings cause Wallpaper and screensavers to be disabled. To enable them you need to set the following registry parameters:
EnableWallpaper: 1
EnableScreenSaver: 1

Finally if you have issues where the screen agent is failing to start check the following registry key that every has full control on this key and sub keys including Device0:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\Current\System\CurrentControlSet\SERVICES\Tb2MirrorSys\
