masquerade

I forward email to MS-Exchange server before going outbound. Any internal messages seem to be masquerding user@domain.com but anything sent outside is going as user@hostname.domain.com

MS guys say it me but I supect other wise...anyone help

edit the /etc/sendmail.cf file and look for

# my official domain name
# Use this only if you wish to override the default.
#Dj$w.$m

uncomment the last line and remove $w which is the hostname.

Dj.$m

and save it.
