Option 1:
DMI that does DEL 3 INST 1800Free411
Does it mean when someone call 911 will also get 1800Free411
Option 2:
Harder for xxx-555-1212. I think the easiest way is to set all NPAs to DENY 555 - then tell people the new number is 1800Free411
Manual Process? Block the directory assistance numbers and tell the people to dial 1800Free411.
If you create a DMI that does what I wrote, then create a Route List just for 411, then the only call that will be "replaced" is 411.
For the xxx-555-1212:
Yes, that just blocked the number - nothing was automated. However, there is a way to automate it - with some work.
1. Create a DMI that does DEL 11 and INST 1800Free411
2. Create a route list that can process 1800Free411 over your LEC/CLEC facilities.
3. OUT all your NPAs and rebuild then as SPNs
3a. When you build the SPNs, respond to SDRR with ARRN
3b. At ARRN, enter 5551212
3c. At ARLI enter the RLI you created in step 2.
Now, for every SPN (Area Code) that you added ARRN to, if they call 5551212, it will be singled out and replaced with 1800Free411. No other calls would be affected.
Also, you could change step 3 to only out one NPA that you dial often, and replace that with an SPN. - this would give you a taste of the change without having to rebuild everything.
