Masking an outgoing number?

I'm not too sure what the technical term for this is, but, we have a client who uses the extension in the 3000 range in their offices. Calling from within the company (ext.3xxx) and inbound calls to the company (408-xxx-3xxx)is normal, but making outbound calls from the company, the last four digits show up as 7696 on all the phones.

I am curious as to what the technical term is for this and what LD I can find this in.

Ld 21, prt Net_data and look at clid. It's sending out a preset number, in this case = 7696
 
do a search here for clid.. as marsh posted it's usually controlled by net_data but it can be added via the provider
