Mas90 search invoices with a Misc code field

Newbie, 1st post! Thanks for the help in advance.
Mas90 ver3.71

We have created a misc code (010) for entering peoples (patient) names while entering an invoice. This has been setup and used for a number of years with no search option. I would like to be able to search invoices that contain the patients name (a name that was entered in misc code 010). I can currently search invoices based on other fields in the invoice but not a misc. code. Any way to do this?

I hope this question is clear enough, I will be standing by for any questions.

To clarify it is misc item code Description field that contains the patients name I would like to search.

You should make a query out of the ARO table.

When you say you would like to search the description field what application would you be using? From within MAS? Crystal Report? Excel Fine?

First you need to learn the file structure of ARO as there are different file types.

I would like to be able to search in mas90 in a custom report for example. At the moment we can find past invoice by searching for a number of different fields (ie. Client, invoice #, etc.) but the only place that a patient name is entered is in this misc description block.

I feel like I got close today by using the crystal sql query designer. I could make a query and think i found the correct table/field where the info is stored, but I havent made it work yet...
