More often than I like to admit, a MAS modem will appear to be RNA. In a normal scheme the RAS is temporarily disabled so the alarm out call can proceed. Once the out call is completed the RAS gets re-enabled.
I suspect the RAS re-enabling is not successful at times. Most of the time, I have to disable Remote Access then enable and reconfigure it, that is how I have resolved all but one RNA so far.
Would it be possible to automatically run a scheduled task every so often to enable the RAS? I'm thinking about the at tasks and the backup tasks. I would need help to write a script/batch file.
How else could I insure the MAS modem does not go RNA (presuming no hardware/software failure)?
