MAS Modem appears as RNA - RAS Issue?

More often than I like to admit, a MAS modem will appear to be RNA. In a normal scheme the RAS is temporarily disabled so the alarm out call can proceed. Once the out call is completed the RAS gets re-enabled.
I suspect the RAS re-enabling is not successful at times. Most of the time, I have to disable Remote Access then enable and reconfigure it, that is how I have resolved all but one RNA so far.

Would it be possible to automatically run a scheduled task every so often to enable the RAS? I'm thinking about the at tasks and the backup tasks. I would need help to write a script/batch file.

How else could I insure the MAS modem does not go RNA (presuming no hardware/software failure)?

Sorry it has been awhile to get back to this request.

I have several machines that do this and somewhat regularly. The machines that I have checked are on the latest SP and patch for the release. All of the back ends are MSS (for what that is worth).

Check in the routing and remote access - there is a setting in there where you assign which devide to use for RAS

I will try to log on to a MAS tomorrow and get the exact location
