Good day everyone
I have an install of mas 90 running on a windows 2003 server, and am having some problems with the permissions of certain modules. Whenever I add a user to a speific module, no matter how I add him, or what his permissions are, it will not allow him into the module. I reset the premissions on the module to allow everyone access, and still, the user was denied access.

Any ideas?

When you are assigning rights for a user to any given menu, be sure to give them rights to the module in SYS Library Master as well.

Make sure you grant the user permission to that module's main menu first -- using the SYS selection.

The only way I can ever debug this stuff is to print the security rights. From the Menu Security Maintenance click the printer icon in the lower right corner. This will show all of the menu security and from there you can see where this person is or isn't allowed.

If you have multiple companies and allow access by naming people the you must name people in all the companies. You can only use the all-users option if you have not chosen specific people elsewhere.

I fixed it. As it turnes out, it was perrmission problems with the NTFS drive it was on, and not in mas at all.
