I am trying to map from a Windows 2000 server to a Windows NT server. I can ping the NT server, but when I try to map using \\IPADDRESS\$ it gives me an error "the mapped network drive could not be created because a device attached to the system is not functioning properly". I have already added a new ID and Password to the NT server that matches the user ID and Password that I use on the 2000 server so that shouldn't be the problem. I am getting ready to start pulling my hair out. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
Thanks,

Jenny May

Just for clarity, you are trying \\ipaddress\C$ or whatever drive letter right?

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Thank you so much. I've never actually done this before and for some reason the guy that is being paid to help us get this set up didn't mention that. Very much appreciated!
