mapping a drive

Hello, we have a openvms machine with shared drives and on a NT4.0 machine we are able to map to the share drives on openvms. But when i try to map the shared drive from a w2k or XP machine i cant do it. I enter the user/password and it said its invalid.

Anyone know why?

How are the VMS drives shared? Through NFSd? and if so are you using Multinet, or UCX, etc? Or through SMB, or DECNET?
