In Novell 5.1 I use this comand in the login script for a user as follows:

MAP X:=Server_Name/Sys:User

Instead of seeing the folder /User and its files. I am seeing the Sys volumes and it files and folders.

Is there a way to map to a particular folder?

And how can I get to map a shared folder?

Add the map root command:

MAP ROOT X:=Server_Name/Sys:User

that will map to the folder and users cannot go back up the file tree from there.

Good Luck,

Mark ;-)

I can get to a shared folder using NET USE P: \\<PUTER NAME>\SHARE with no problem from the command line in the DOS command window.

When I place the same line in a .BAT file and place the .BAT file in the root of drive C: it does not map properly. Not certified ... just certifiable.
