I have one user whose mapped network drive disappears after log off or reboot. The reconnect button is checked.
Anyone know what is going on?

Any clues in this recent thread?

Windows 7 Drive mapping question
thread1726-1597998

My issue is a little bit different than the one described in the thread you mentioned. I don't get the red X, I simply loose that mapped drive. I will try the suggestions mentioned in that thread on Monday. Thanks linney.

Have you tried this Registry Modification:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"EnableLinkedConnections"=dword:00000001

Be aware of all the Registry Modification warnings!!

to add to Linney's advice:

Mapped Drive Connection to Network Share May Be Lost

things to check:

update drivers for the network card?
powersave settings?
device settings (e.g. Computer can turn off device, to save power)?

How to ask a question, when posting them to a professional forum.
Only ask questions with yes/no answers if you want "yes" or "no"

When you say "one user" I guess other users have that network drive mapped without problems? Are you running a domain? Policies showing up?

Cheers,
Dian
