Mapped drives on my 2003 server are disconnecting when I close a remote desktop session. Is it possible to keep the mapped drives connected? If so how? Thanks for eveyone for being there to help

That is normal. Mapped drives are setup per user.

They should reconnect when you log back in.

That's the problem, they DON'T reconnect when I log back in. Thanks

Is there a method to keep the drives mapped, when the session is closed? The scheduled backups fail 'cause
there is no path to the remote folder. Thanks.

Lock the connection via the account when you close the RDP. Don't log off.

Great idea, I'll try and lock the connection. Thanks.

The connections need to be made "persistent".
ie: net use f: \\myserver\mystuff /:persistent

Open a DOS window on the workstation and type "net use" to see your current connections. To see help type "net use /?".
