I have some servers that are hooked together thru VPN. They ran fine until recently when as ISP changed an IP number and we had to reconfigure one server. Now I'm having some strange problems. One problem is that certain XP machines, if I log them into the domain, I map the drives but the next time I log and try to access them they say "mapped drives already in use, they will not be re-connected"
The Windows 98 machines have no such problem and I just set up a new XP machine and it works OK but a couple of the existing ones have started doing this.
Any ideas?

XP may map persistantly if you don't add the /PERSISTANT:NO at then end of your NET USE command in the logon script.

"In space, nobody can hear you click..."

I didn't map them using net use, I mapped them with Map Network drive in Network neighborhood. Is there a setting for that other than "reconnect at login"?
I'll use "net use" if it will cure the problem.
