Mapped Drives disappear from My Computer

I have a number of drives mapped to network shares. For example, I map drive W: to our network install share. When I execute a "net use" command in a dos box, all of the drives appear. BUT when I open My Computer or Explorer, drive W: doesn't appear on the list.

Anyone have any idea why that's happening and what I have to do to correct it?
