I start on boot NT4 server (pack4), with administrator user, an oracle service database.
My database file is on a remote disk mapped on X letter when I'm logging administrator (in profil of admin user, there is a script to map remote disk with the command: net use X \\....).
But, service didn't start and an error in Oracle explain that It didn't find my database.

The remote disk is not mapped by the user admin when it start the service, it's only mapped when I'm logging and so by profile script.
Can I force execution of my mapping file before start my Oracle service ?

Thanks for help,
F.H.

just add the net use command to your logon script. Then set your oracle services to manual, and run the bat file that starts those services from the startup folder.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for your help Corie,
During my research on the net, we find another solution wich is to use the script/service autoexnt.exe in a ressource kit tool of Microsoft.

It permits to launch a script bat like a service and without connect a user on session. Ir's just what we are looking for.
It's very usefull.
