Hi All

I am looking for a SL8500 - IBM LTO5 drive tray manual... I checked on the Oracle website... according to them they don't have...

The issue I have having is the drive fail to come online "not functional".

The drive works on another tray and the slot also works...

When i try another drive on the tray - same problem.

I swapped the card, psu and psu cable.. still the same issue.

It is one of the other cables...

Are the interface boards on the tray the same PN? I would swap the board to the tray that it works on and see if it follows.

Never mind. re-read your post and it says t=you swapped the card along with the PS and cable. It could be the library interface cable. If the library cannot communicate to the drive, it will show not functional.

The problem is mostly with the Belisarius Cards... I replaced the Bel cards..problem solved.
