I have an office that uses ACD/AA during the day. I have the times set to ring night message through greetings after hours. Occasionally the office closes early so what is the best solution to ring the night greeting or setup an after hours message to let callers know the office is closed?

feature 982, operator status, change business open to N, then it should play the non business greeting

Is there a way 2 setup an extension or a voicemail extension so the customer can just hit a button or 2 so it plays alternate messages until it's manually undone?

No. The message is dictated by the time/day/date. A manual services button can turn on a service mode but the message played would be whatever would normall be played at that time, it would just play it immediately instead of using the rings setting programmed in the AA. Operator login/operater available=no is the only way to do what you want.

Sorry, I meant Operator login, Business open = no. Just as BombOne posted.

It was setup previously that the customer could hit 2 keys, one was programmed for Call FWD, the other was an Autodial to VM. The extension that those buttons were on had voicemail setup so it worked great but somehow it got messed up and doesn't work for whatever reason. The DN that is being forwarded has all the incoming lines ringing in on it but not part of the ACD group, only reasons line are ringing in is to be able to FWD all calls if business closes early but it's not working.

Forwarding the extension to voicemail would send the calls to a mailbox, not the AA.

I tried the forward to Voicemail, not luck. It says the party you have called is currently unavailable, then goes in the AA greeting. The DN I am using has an informational mailbox but it's not working.

What software on KSU and Mail are we talking about?

The proper method is what BombOne has posted above.

There is some trickery I could think of but not a simple one that you are suggesting.

I am not sure if this might work as well but setup an info mailbox (not subscriber) behind the courtesy set.
Record a second of silence.

Forward reception to courtesy set.

Call in and test, see what happens to the call after listening to the second of silence.
My thinking is it might default to GD but maybe it goes to AA?
