HI All,

I am new to Aloha ut have already worked out a lot of potential issues from this forum. I have purchased a secondhand system for my Pizza shop and having a great time working it all out. I must admit I am finding it hard to just acquire some basic manuals without having to hassle the POS guy.I was wondering if anyone could help me with a manual for the above controller as I would like to learn the basics of communicating with the unit for any possible updates the might need doing etc.

My background is Technical so usually pretty happy with a command tool or such. I am running 6.7x, I have inquired and my licence is valid up till 12.3, but having trouble getting this and the New AM from the POS guys. Anyways a great site and hope someone might be able to help me out...Thanks heaps...

Depending on the KDS you are using, there is a simple program in the Aloha bin to find the KDS controllers and assign them a number. Once you have assigned the number its just a simple matter of assigning screens and items to them.

I can provide you with files to install NAM and 12.3. I suggest you build your menu as best you can with old Aloha manager first as its much faster to program. NAM has nice features with a finished menu, but to build or delete can be time consuming.

I can help with all of it. I have attached a document that may help you.

Awesome thank you very much. I have read throughout the forum that the menu creation especially from scratch is best done in old so will take your advice on this. Would be great to have the 12.3 and NAM on hand to install once I have completed the menu creation (will take me awhile new at POS systems). With the manual on the Radiant KDS radvid controller (its a Kiwi2) I like to know what I am using and how to connect to it for information such as firmware etc..but I guess it not essential (just the tech in me I guess  my tech background was i networking, servers, switching, hardware, and the such). It has two rs232 port so thought it might be that you could assign one to one monitor and another channel to another monitor to send different data to either...of course without the manual I have no idea.

I have read that the 12.3 update only works with the NAM already implemented? so guess ill build the menu etc before switching over. AT the moment I am having a great time breaking the software (configurations) so I can learn to fix it, my way of thinking is I need to know how to fix it before I configure it. Great fun! Keeping build images along the way.

I have a wood-fired pizza shop so will have to work out the half and half menu options etc for the menu setup.

Thank you again for your assistance one last question(as its hard to find manuals on line for different builds), cant the FOH install on W7 x64, W10? and the BOH? oh yea I assume I can just update the versions without an upgrade of the usb dongle as i checked out the lic and its good for 12.3 so guess its already programmed for this version?. That's the drawback of buying second hand i guess!

PS: I have 6.7.58.2 installed at the moment, wondering if there is any further updates in the version and if you might have this? I want to updatein this version and the keep an image before I update to 12.3..

Thank you.
