Avaya is replacing s8300 hard drive and we have done manual backup for s8300(copy config screen shots from SAT)....so when they replace hard drive will it have any impact on AUDIX and G700?

Or
will it affect only s8300 only ? do i have to copy audix and g700 configs as well?

how do i reconfigure s8300 after hard drive replace using modem connection?

I recomend you make backups of everything. You never know what could happen.

The swapping out of the hard drive shouldnt affect the g700 or audix though.

Thanks....

how do i reconfigure after hard drive replace using modem ?

I would suggest you call your business partner. HDD replacement means your entire system needs to be reimaged, then the backups restored... Including the IA770, and XLN files. It would also need the CM patch(s) appliced again, etc. It's not something I can describe to you step by step, as its way to involved. You can check the website for S8300 Installation docs.

Also, If AVAYA is replacing the HDD, perhaps they will remaster your HDD for you, and restore you translations.

This is strange...Avaya says they do not backup or restore
HDD...they just replace HDD!

The person who told you that is flat wrong.

Part of the replacemnt proceedsure is to restore the software to the disk.

The restore of your translations is a different matter. If they wont do that then you just log in and do it yourself. It's not a big deal.

you mean...restore translations by telnet into SAT or thru
modem connection?
