Manipulating the server to call a set code when a page is loaded

Hi,

First, if I posted in the wrong forum, please redirect me...

I am making a site in which I want a set code to be called when a page is loaded. The code should be at the top of the page, but not necessarily. I sort of want it to be like how geocities has ads at the bottom of the page...in that fashion. I want the code to get placed so that every page in my directory gets this code. I have an apache server that doesn't have ASP (if that matters...).

Yes, I do have PHP installed as well as CGI, Perl, and SSI.

You might take a look at the PHP runtime configuration directives "auto_prepend_file" and "auto_append_file" (

http://www.php.net/manual/en/configuration.directives.php).

Also, take a look at the PHP include() directive (
