Mandrake Aurora

How can I stop Aurora running in Mandrake 8.2? I've looked through my init scripts and tried various things but can't seem to get rid of it. In 8.1 you could turn it off in the Control Center, but that option seems to have disappeared.

If you take out the aurora rpm, it works as you want. Else

1.edit lilo.conf to change the vga parameter from any number to 1 or
2.change the 'quiet' option to 'noquiet' in lilo.conf

Thanks, but I actually just had to remove the bootsplash rpm.
Thanks for the noquiet tip though.
