Hi Guys.

My CCNA is about to expire, and I am about to take the BSCI.
If by chance I pass the BSCI after my CCNA expires, will it invalidate my passing the BSCI? I guess what I am asking is if Cisco makes it mandatory that I take the CCNA/CCDA first before I take any ot the professional exams?

I realize that if this scenario comes to pass I will have to take the CCNA over again at some point, but I would rather concentrate on testing what I am studying now, rather than dropping everything and starting at square one again.

If you pass the BSCI before your CCNA expires, your CCNA will renew for another three years. If your CCNA expires and then you pass BSCI, the BSCI will not count toward CCNP certification until you pass the CCNA. The 642 series exams renew the CCNA for you so you don't have to keep retaking the CCNA as you try to get to CCNP. Don't let the CCNA expire!

Hi,

Also bear in Mind Cisco are changing the BSCI exam very soon, I think last courses are the end of October, then you have until December 31st 2006 for the 642-801 is replaced.
