Hi All,

I'm trying to automate a small app rollout.

I've got it to install and insert all neccessary registry keys, also to install as a service automatically. What I want it to do is to prevent the service interacting with the desktop and start the service straight away. (ie, not wait for a reboot).

At present, I have to run services.msc and change these settings manually.

Any ideas?

Many thanks,

Rex.

net [start | stop] [<service>] is the basic command for starting or stopping
a service from the command line

Yep, with the batch file I've written, it installs the program, adds registry keys and then opens services.msc. As soon as I close the services window, it uses net start to start the service.

I'm trying to get the installation to be totally unattended so I don't have to manually go into the services details window.

Thanks.
