Today I was bored and decided to move Voicemail Pro and Manager onto the new server and get rid of our old junky Duvoice box, however the licenses are coming up invalid and I do not see feature key server running in the system tray, I went to properties and saw that it was showing everything that was running, then I went into services and restarted Key server, as well as the other two sentinel services, when I look in task manager I can see keyserver running as well...not sure if maybe manager doesn't work on 2008 server?

Manager works on 2008. Did you set the License Server IP address in the IPO config to the new (proper) IP address?

If so, after restarting Key Server, try rebooting your IPO. It will automatically try validating the licenses again when it comes back up.

Yes I did both of those things, should I be seeing the Red Box (icon that represents license key server) in the system tray on 2008?

also had problems on a 2008 machine. what i did was set up a virtual machine running xp pro on the 2008 maching. everything seems to be running great at the moment...no problems yet.

Come to think of it, I haven't attempted running Key Server on Server 2008 yet. I was thinking just Manager.

Do you have any other XP/Server2003 machine you can run Key Server on? It's a roundabout way to go about it, but it would at least work. I am not sure of the compatibility of Key Server and Server 2008.

If you have a 406v2, you could also look into get a feature key swap and switch it to serial.. again, roundabout, but then you don't have to fuss with Key Server on upgrades and what not.

Goto the setup in the Admin CD right click and run it as Administator.
