Manager 3.1 - agent is ext type rather than agent

Help me please, this is driving me crazy and I know it must be simple...

I've an issue with an agent not appearing in CCV or on any reports. I've checked in delta server and he is in black. I've looked and realised a few other users are in black but not users we want to report on so doesn't matter for them. The difference is for the black it says 'extension' and everyone else is agent. How can I change this?

under that users telephony tab select force login and put a login code in there.
 
Is the extension set up as an agent in the system.

Select user go to the "telephony" tab and set the force login and login code. This will then make the user an agent.
Restart the delta server and should then display as an agent not an extension.
