Okay I'm a little out of my territory here as I actually do not use Mercator, but support Unix server that it sits on.
It seems like our app team is unable to connect to the eventserver (running on unix server) from the managment console that they have installed on their desktop. I have been unable to get any real information from the endusers, but talking with mercator support (Ascential) they say that the reason is that we have 2 network adapters installed on this system. 1 private, 1 public.
Mercator support seems to think this is the problem and are unwilling to assist as it is a hardware issue. They have provided no documentation on this, and say they have heard of it and heard that the customer fixed it by creating routes between the 2 adapters. Don't see it really working but tried. No go.
Any ideas?
OS - AIX 4.3.3
App - Mercator 6.7
