Malware like Flash drive 1

Have any of you ever seen this? I got a great deal on a 2gb usb flashdrive from Sandisk. I've used several other types of flash drives before, but not a Sandisk.

This one anytime you plug it in, it inists on loading its own U3 Launcher control panel. Some poeple might like it, but I find it annoying. I use it on lots of different PCs.

When I look at the drive it contains a u3 launcher and a system folder. If I delete both, they just come back on the next insertion. That is so virus/malware like! i'm off to their site to see if this can be turned off.

Well, closer examination, I hadn't noticed, that for example on this sytem, XP detects the drive and assigns it drive F and it shows up as a familiar removable disk in MY COMPUTER. But now I noticed it also creates a drive E, which shows up like a CD Rom so the autoplay can run. Of course its read only. What a pain in the butt.

I didn't think to hold down the shift key, not always easy, but at least its something. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
