Hi,
I'm just wondering if you can change the system ring back tone, to sound like a standard ring tone.....THe system current gives people calling in a ring back tone in the ear. Can I use the following settings to change the ring back tone to sound like a standard telephone ring?
Incase your interested, the features activated on the IPLDK20 force the system to play the 'ring back tone' currently and I don't want to de-activate it.
Thanks

System Tone Frequency
1 Dial Tone 4digits 0425, 0000 Nation specific
2 Ring Back Tone 4digits 0425, 0000 Nation specific
3 Busy Tone 4digits 0425, 0000 Nation specific
4 Error Tone 4digits 0620, 000 Nation specific
420
5 Dummy Dial Tone 4digits 0350, 440 Nation specific
Differential Ring Frequency
1 Ring 1 4digits 1000, 1020 Nation specific
2 Ring 2 4digits 0890, 0910 Nation specific
3 Ring 3 4digits 1260, 1280 Nation specific
421
4 Ring 4 4digits 0800, 0820 Nation specific
Distinct Ring Frequency

422
4 Ring 4 4digits 0770, 0000 Nation specific

Depending where you are located around the world, will depend on what your ringback frequecies are.
In Australia, the best match is 400, 440 Hz.

You can set your RBack frequencies at PGM 420 - Flex 2

Thanks for the reply Angel,
Found this link for the Irish Tone
Link

I modified PGM 420 as below

Ring_Back_zpsybsxm4tl.jpg

It seems to be only using the second frequency of 480Hz, because that the only setting that changes the tone......

I have a Fax feature activated
2.4.28 Automatic Fax Transfer
(ipLDK-20)
Description
The system will determine if an incoming call from the preprogrammed CO line is for a FAX or for speech terminal by detecting the tone of the call (1100Hz, 0.5s ON/3s OFF repeated). When the system detects a FAX tone from the incoming line within the predetermined time, the System will transfer the call to the appropriate FAX Station. If the FAX tone is not detected within a predetermined time, the System will transfer the call to the appropriate Station(s).

Outside caller connected to the FAX CO line will hear a ring back tone while the system is detecting a FAX
tone.

This Tone before had the sound of an Irish line ringing International ...pause.....booom(2 seconds)...pause...booom(2 sec)..... instead of the normal ...ringring...pause...ring ring
This was confusing all the aul dears ringing in, so some of them were hanging up.....and pissing and moaning when they came into the office.

the Ring back tone was set at 400Hz, giving that deeper sound...previously, and the only really thing that made a difference was modifying 'ring back tone' T2..
Anyway, at least it's set high at 480 now, which is different and strange enough for people not to hang up (doesn't sound like you're calling (getting charged for) International.

But it would be good If, it could be made to sound like a standard ring tone.

Thanks
Nathan

Try setting your T1 at 425Hz, and T2 and 480.

I'm not sure what you are trying to tell me about the FAX Transfer. Do you have a fax machine ?

Thanks, I'll give that a go....

It's a special little feature about the IPLDK20... I'm using it as a small PABX for a single Analogue line in, and four telephones off that....you can enable a Fax listening feature on the line in,......so the receptionist doesn't even hear the line ring, the IPLDK20 will hear the fax frequency on the line and automatically forward it to the printer :) Handy, but it messes up the ring tone ;p from the standard tone we're used to here.

Ah yes, I have used that myself before. I don't have a fax machine any more, but I did have it set up a long time ago, via SLT8, it would transfer it automatically if there was a call for it

Doctors still seem to be heavy users of the fax machine here in Ireland when every other industry had moved on!! :) They are pretty slow to change. It was a struggle to get him off the paper system 8 years ago, but once he realized you could just hit print, and print out 1000 pages of monthly prescriptions, freeing up the secretary 2 days of writing them all out. He became a serious convert, even learned to touch type LOL :)

I was just in hospital a few days ago for nearly a week. I had to have an MRI scan done, but the form that they make you fill out to make sure the MRI isn't going to pull metal bits of you around, was faxed. They FAXED the form to Radiology, in the SAME BUILDING, 2 floors down.

Fax machines still have a reasonable presence in Australia here

Hi, I changed that T1 to 425 but it didn't make a difference, It is only using one of the Tones....
I noticed one thing, the 'european ring back tone' is the tone I'm hearing, and obviously it's a higher tone now it's set at 480hz. but it has that 2 second pause followed by the single tone followed by another pause,....if you play the sound file on the link above, you'll hear what I mean ;p ....
I think by activating this Fax forwarding, that it has defaulted to the european ring back tone....maybe the timing can be changed elsewhere or this ringback tone is built into the code that is activated when you switch on fax forwarding?

stumped for the time being :)

That's very strange. Have you got a Skype account or something? Might be easier to talk to you in voice than by text, and then I can listen to it as well

Fairplay to you, but it's 3am in Sydney now :) ...What would be a good time for you, I'll go by your time,...weekends are better...Fri-Sun, I'm free to work on this....Other days I'm on the opposite side of Dublin City. THanks (We're 10 hours apart at the moment )

Excellent, genius idea about changing country code, I'll let you know how it goes :)

Excellent stuff Ryan :) that sorted the machine right out! Set location to Australia and now I get the double ring, calling from the outside while Fax transfer is activated.
the programmers at LG must have lumped Ireland into the EU (Which is for most things)....but obviously it has the different ringback tones, like the UK, Australia and a few others.

Thanks for your Help
