I'm having problem making some mesh objects show when inserting this EPS-file into Poxerpoint and Word. Does anyone else had similar problem and a solution to make the EPS work properly everywhere?

Personally, I wouldn't trust Powerpoint or Word to handle anything remotely complex. Try and export your eps files (File > Export) in another format, such as WMF or BMP.

I know, it's a bad idea using a EPS in PowerPoint, but my customer really wants to do that. Dont ask me why.

Is there really no way I can make the eps file (with mesh objects) work in an Office application?

Try rasterizing the mesh objects first. Select each one in turn, Object > Rasterize.
