Is it possible to make a internal extention just built on the switch and not be on a physical handset to auto forward to a external number? If it is can you please show me how to do this any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the information John you seem to always help me out when I need it. I have another question or two can If the ext is a DID can I block external callers calling this number? Will making this ext a acd forward to the external number right away and not have it ring a few times first?
no it will ring the 1st time at the forward to dest.. in ld 49
Code:
REQ new
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 1
IDGT 1962
1962 0
IDGT
then in the route idc=yes and the nexxt two prompts = 1, that would send the did 434 1962 to the operator, if you have a vacant number ran, you can send it there
Another "option" youi might use is a phantom DN. Built as a 500 set but in loop 156 with a default call faorward set up.
LD 20
REQ: NEW
TYPE: 500
TN: 156 0 0 0
DES: xxx
DN: xxxx
CLS: CFXA call forward external allowed
FTR: DCFW 16 9xxx xxxx
Phantom DNs also give the ability to use remote call forwarding from any extension if you need to be able to change the forwarding number. Beware the loop 156 must be configured in the CFN if not done so already. I can look it up if you need.
he's right on the phantom, i don't use them much but they are great if you need to change the forward to number without logging in to the switch.. any ext can change the forward dest with the feature code and password. with the acd you could change the forward dest from any place that you could dial in from (home) which you can't with the phamtom, each have an app that they excel at
i thought you put the password on 1st when you changed it from a set. without disa can you do that from an outside line, i don't use it much but have it working for a couple of depts
